  • I asked for the stroller space with my child present and got no help

Hello, I am writing about the stroller and priority space on your trains, based on what happened to me today and what happens regularly. On 26 June 2026, on the Lausanne to Zurich train departing at 10:17, I boarded with my young child and our stroller. The designated stroller and priority space was occupied by passengers with no pram and no small children. The signage is clearly there. They ignored it. I asked them directly to free the space. They still did not move. And no staff member was able to help, because the family and stroller carriage is at the far end of the train, so the controller reaches it last, sometimes not before my stop. This is the core problem. The space is already marked, but the marking is not respected and there is no check to enforce it. The passengers who most need this space are also the ones staff get to slowest. So even when I do everything right, board with a pram, point to the sign, ask politely, stand there with my child, nothing changes. I would like to ask CFF to make enforcement real. Have staff check the family and stroller carriage early in the journey rather than last, and when a family with a pram boards, ensure the marked space is actually freed. A short visit by the controller at the start of each trip, to the carriage that needs it most, would make a real difference. A sign that no one enforces is not protecting anyone. Thank you for looking into this. I would appreciate a reply. Kind regards,
    D L

  • Question about booking EC train from Montreux to Milano Centrale with STP

Hi everyone, I am planning a trip from Montreux to Milano Centrale on the EuroCity (EC) direct train this coming December. My partner and I will both hold a valid Swiss Travel Pass (STP) 2nd Class. I have two questions regarding the booking process and journey logistics on SBB: SBB App/Website Reduction Selection: Since there is no explicit “Swiss Travel Pass” option in the discount/travelcard dropdown menu when booking international tickets, should I select “GA 2nd” (Generalabonnement 2nd class) for both passengers to correctly apply the discount? My understanding is that the STP covers the Swiss portion up to the border (Domodossola) just like a GA card does. Cross-Border Logistics: Once we purchase this international ticket (which should include the seat reservation for the Italian section), is it a completely seamless journey? Can we just stay on the train all the way from Montreux to Milano Centrale, or do we need to alight at the border for any mandatory customs checks, passport control, or passport stamping? Thank you so much in advance for your help and advice!

  • DUO DAY PASS

    Hello everyone,
Deindeal is currently running a promotion for the Duo Day-pass, at 129 chf (1st class) for two people.
It mentions “One person must hold a Half Fare Travelcard.”
Half Fare Card is for residents while Swiss half fare card( 150 chf for one month) is for tourists.
So does this promotion also apply to foreign tourists holding the Swiss Half Fare Card?
And what is the difference between Duo Day Pass and Swiss Travel Pass?
    Thank you.
